NTC Balance Check, Transfer & Sapati: Every USSD Code That Works (2026)

NTC balance check transfer and sapati USSD codes reference for Nepal Telecom users

Last updated: July 2026 (Shrawan 2083). USSD codes are stable but services evolve — the NT app and ntc.net.np are final if a code behaves differently.

Balance सकियो at the worst moment — we’ve all been there. This is the complete, verified reference for NTC balance check, recharge, balance transfer and sapati (emergency credit): every USSD code that works in 2026, the SMS security-code trick most people don’t know, and the app/wallet routes for when you’d rather tap than dial.

Checking Balance: Three Ways

  1. USSD: dial *400# — the classic, works on any phone, no data needed.
  2. NT App: shows balance, data remaining, active packs and offers in one screen — worth installing once and forgetting USSD menus.
  3. Missed the expiry? Balance and packs have validity — the app shows dates clearly; USSD responses include them for packs via *1415*55#.

Recharging: From Scratch Card to Wallet

  • Scratch card: dial *412* + the 16-digit PIN + #.
  • eSewa / Khalti / banking apps: the modern default — recharge any NTC number in seconds, no card hunting. If a wallet payment ever fails mid-recharge, our payment complaint guide covers recovery.
  • NT App: in-app recharge with linked payment options.
  • From abroad: international recharge services and family wallets both work — full strategies in this week’s keep-your-SIM-active-abroad guide.

NTC Balance Transfer: The Full Flow

Send balance to a family member’s NTC number in four steps:

  1. Get your security code (first time only): SMS the word SCODE to 1415. An 8-digit security code arrives — save it privately.
  2. Dial *422# and follow the menu.
  3. Enter the recipient’s NTC number, the amount, and your security code when prompted.
  4. Confirm — both sides get SMS confirmation.

Safety notes: transfer limits and small service charges apply per NTC’s current terms; and treat your SCODE like a PIN — anyone with it can drain your balance. Never share it with “customer care” callers — real support never asks. (Scam patterns and fixes: our fraud recovery guide.)

Sapati: NTC’s Emergency Credit

Stuck with zero balance and an urgent call? Dial *1415*3# to request sapati (advance credit). The advance — plus its service fee — deducts automatically from your next recharge. Use it as a bridge, not a habit: the fee makes it the most expensive balance you’ll ever use.

FAQ

How do I check my NTC balance?

Dial *400# — free and instant. The NT app shows the same plus data and pack details.

How do I transfer balance from one NTC number to another?

Get your 8-digit security code (SMS SCODE to 1415), then dial *422# and follow the menu with the recipient’s number and amount.

How do I take a loan (sapati) on NTC?

Dial *1415*3# when your balance is low. The advance plus a service fee deducts from your next recharge.

My recharge PIN says invalid. What now?

Recheck digit-by-digit (6 vs 8, 1 vs 7 misreads are common). If genuinely invalid or already used, contact NTC support with the card’s serial number — and prefer wallet recharges, which remove the problem entirely.

Do these codes work on NTC postpaid?

Some are prepaid-specific (recharge, sapati); balance/pack menus behave differently on postpaid. Postpaid users get bills and app management instead.
