Prices and specifications read on 13 October 2026 (27 Asoj 2083) on vivo Nepal’s own product pages and at Samsung Plaza. We compared published specifications. We did not test the phones. Festival offers can change a price, so check the brand’s page before you buy.
The best mobile under 30000 in Nepal, going by official prices and published specifications, is the vivo Y29 at Rs 24,999. It is the only phone in this budget on the lists we checked with a 6-nanometre Snapdragon chip, and it pairs that with 8 GB of memory, a 120 Hz screen and a 6,500 mAh battery.
That is a judgement on paper, and the reasons are set out below so you can weigh them yourself. The list covers every phone with an official price between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 on the brand websites we could verify. All six are from vivo. Samsung’s cheapest phone at its authorised store is Rs 30,499, just over the line.
Key takeaways
- Six vivo models carry an official price between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000, in ten memory versions.
- Strongest on paper: vivo Y29, 8 + 128 GB, Rs 24,999.
- Cheapest with 8 GB of memory: vivo Y21d, 8 + 128 GB, Rs 23,499.
- Most storage: vivo Y28, 8 + 256 GB, Rs 26,499, or vivo Y29, 8 + 256 GB, Rs 26,999.
- None of the six is sold as a 5G phone.
- Samsung: nothing under Rs 30,000. The Galaxy A07s 4G is Rs 30,499 at Samsung Plaza.
How this list was made
Only two kinds of source were used: a brand’s own Nepal website, and a brand’s authorised store. vivo Nepal prints a price on each product page. Samsung Plaza describes itself as the authorised and exclusive retailer for Samsung products in Nepal.
Dealer lists, marketplaces and news round-ups were not used. Xiaomi Nepal’s website shows its phones without prices, so Redmi and POCO models are not here. That is a gap in what can be verified, not a verdict on those phones.

Our picks, and why
These are our reading of the published numbers. They are not test results.
Best overall: vivo Y29, 8 + 128 GB, Rs 24,999
It has the newest chip design in the group. A 6 nm processor generally runs cooler and uses less power than a 12 nm one. Add 8 GB of memory, a 120 Hz screen, a 6,500 mAh battery and 44W charging, and nothing else under Rs 30,000 on the list matches it line for line.
Best value: vivo Y21d, 8 + 128 GB, Rs 23,499
The cheapest way to get 8 GB of memory, with the larger 6,500 mAh battery and 44W charging. The screen is 90 Hz and the chip is a 12 nm part, which is where the Rs 1,500 saving over the Y29 comes from.
Most storage: vivo Y28, 8 + 256 GB, Rs 26,499
For someone who keeps a lot of photos and video on the phone. The Y29 with the same 256 GB is Rs 500 more and has the stronger chip and faster screen, so compare the two in the shop.
For rough use: vivo Y05, 4 + 128 GB, Rs 24,999
The IP65 rating and 6,500 mAh battery suit outdoor work. The trade-offs are plain on the page: 4 GB of memory, an 8 MP rear camera and 15W charging. It is the weakest of the six for photos.
One to question: vivo Y11d, 4 + 128 GB, Rs 27,999
It is the dearest phone in the budget and has the least memory. On published specifications the Y29 gives more for Rs 3,000 less. Ask the shop what the Y11d offers that the list does not show before you choose it.
If you can stretch past Rs 30,000
| Phone | Official price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy A07s 4G | Rs 30,499 | Samsung Plaza |
| vivo V30 Lite | Rs 32,999 | vivo Nepal |
| vivo Y11d, 6 + 128 GB | Rs 33,999 | vivo Nepal |
| vivo V40 Lite | Rs 34,999 | vivo Nepal |
The Galaxy A07s is the lowest-priced Samsung phone and sits Rs 499 above the budget. Our Samsung mobile price list and vivo mobile price list have every model.

Buying during Tihar
- Check the brand’s page on the day. An offer that is real is usually shown there, with an end date.
- Ask for a VAT bill with the phone’s IMEI number on it.
- Confirm the warranty is the brand’s Nepal warranty and where it is honoured.
- Compare the offer with the list price on this page. A “discount” from an inflated price is not a discount.
- Pay to the shop’s own account or QR, and check the name before you confirm.
