NTC Dashain Tihar Offer 2083: Every Data, Voice and Fiber Deal, With Dates and How to Buy

NTC Dashain Tihar Offer 2083: data, voice and fiber deals

As of 10 October 2026 (24 Asoj 2083). Based on Nepal Telecom’s announcement as reported by Techpana. The offer was not yet listed on Nepal Telecom’s website when we checked on 10 October, so confirm prices in the Nepal Telecom app before you buy.

The NTC Dashain Tihar Offer 2083 has two parts. On mobile, Nepal Telecom is selling four 30-day packs: two “unlimited” data packs at Rs 499 and Rs 699, a 1,000-minute voice pack at Rs 250 and a 1,000-SMS pack at Rs 99. On fiber, new FTTH customers get the Rs 500 installation fee waived, and annual plans come with a 13th month free.

The two parts run on different dates, which is the detail most people will miss. Here is everything in one place.

Key takeaways

  • Fiber offer: 25 Asoj to 30 Kartik 2083 (from 11 October 2026).
  • Mobile packs: 30 Asoj to 30 Kartik 2083 (from 16 October 2026).

NTC Dashain Tihar offer 2083: mobile packs compared

Festival Unlimited PremiumRs 69910 GB data per day; after that, unlimited at 3 Mbps30 days
Joyful MinutesRs 2501,000 minutes of voice calls to all networks30 days

The announcement does not say whether these prices include taxes. Check the final amount shown before you confirm the purchase.

The two data packs: what “unlimited” means here

Both data packs are called unlimited, and in a practical sense they are: the internet does not stop when you finish the day’s allowance. What changes is the speed.

  • Festival Unlimited (Rs 499): 5 GB at full speed each day. After that, 2 Mbps for the rest of the day.
  • Festival Unlimited Premium (Rs 699): 10 GB at full speed each day. After that, 3 Mbps.

To put those fallback speeds in context: 2 to 3 Mbps is enough for messaging, voice calls over apps, social feeds and standard-definition video. It will feel slow for HD streaming, large downloads or sharing the connection with several people.

What the numbers work out to

This is our own arithmetic from the announced prices, not a Nepal Telecom figure:

Festival UnlimitedFestival Unlimited Premium
PriceRs 499Rs 699
Cost per dayabout Rs 16.60about Rs 23.30
Full-speed data over 30 daysup to 150 GBup to 300 GB
Cost per full-speed GB (if you use it all)about Rs 3.30about Rs 2.30

So the Premium pack costs Rs 200 more and doubles the full-speed data. If you regularly finish 5 GB in a day, for example when using your phone as a hotspot while travelling home, Premium is the better value. If you rarely do, the Rs 499 pack is enough.

Voice and SMS packs

Joyful Minutes (Rs 250) gives 1,000 minutes of voice calls to all networks, valid for 30 days. That works out to 25 paisa a minute if you use every minute, and it covers calls to Ncell numbers too, which matters during a season of phoning relatives.

Festive Message (Rs 99) gives 1,000 SMS, valid for 30 days, but only within Nepal Telecom’s own network. Messages to other operators are not covered.

One thousand minutes over 30 days is a little over 33 minutes a day. If you call less than that, you are still paying well under normal per-minute rates; just do not expect unused minutes to carry over, as nothing in the announcement suggests they do.

Fiber (FTTH) offer: free installation and a 13th month

For home internet, the offer applies to new FTTH connections taken between 25 Asoj and 30 Kartik:

  1. No installation fee. The Rs 500 connection charge is waived.
  2. One extra month on annual plans. New annual packages at 100, 150 and 200 Mbps run for 13 months at the 12-month price.
  3. Bonus mobile data for 13 months too. The mobile data that comes bundled as a bonus with the plan is also extended to 13 months.
  4. Set-top box discount continues. The existing Rs 1,000 discount on FTTH packages with a virtual set-top box stays in place.

The announcement does not list the annual plan prices themselves, so we have not quoted any. Ask your nearest Nepal Telecom office or check the app for the current rate at your speed.

If you are already an FTTH customer, this offer is for new connections; the report does not mention anything for renewals.

How to buy the mobile packs

There are two ways, both from your own phone:

  1. By USSD: dial *1415*11# and follow the menu.
  2. By app: open the Nepal Telecom app and choose the pack.

Before you confirm:

  • Make sure the date is 30 Asoj or later.
  • Check that you have enough balance for the pack price plus any tax shown.
  • Read the confirmation message. It should state the pack name and the expiry date.

Buy only through the USSD code or the official app. Festival seasons bring fake “free data” links on social media and messaging apps; Nepal Telecom does not hand out packs through links that ask for your PIN, OTP or wallet password. Which pack should you choose?

  • Travelling home for Dashain and relying on mobile data: Festival Unlimited at Rs 499 covers a month of normal use. Choose Premium at Rs 699 if you hotspot a laptop or stream a lot.
  • Mostly calling family: Joyful Minutes at Rs 250, since it works on all networks.
  • Sending greetings by SMS to Nepal Telecom numbers: Festive Message at Rs 99.
  • Planning a home internet connection anyway: taking it before 30 Kartik saves Rs 500 on installation, and an annual plan gets you a free month.
  • Paying by wallet: if you top up through eSewa or Khalti, see our note on how QR payments between wallets can go wrong.
