Published 10 October 2026 · By Rabin Paudel, Founder & CEO, Digital Solution Pvt. Ltd. · Figures are from our own Google Search Console and Similarweb, as captured in early October 2026.
When people talk about digital content in Nepal, the conversation is usually about Facebook, YouTube and TikTok: which video got how many views, who gained followers, what went viral. This SEO case study from Nepal is about the quieter channel. In the last three months, pages on digitalsolutionnepal.com were clicked about 165,000 times from Google Search.
At Digital Solution we have believed one thing from the start: useful information should not live only inside a video. Someone who needs an answer at 11 pm should be able to type the question into Google and find it.
Here are the numbers, what we publish, and why the site carries no display advertising.
Key takeaways
- 165K clicks and 5.77M impressions from Google Search in three months (Google Search Console).
- Average position 6.1 and 2.9% click-through rate across all queries.
- Similarweb estimates about 35,000 monthly visits in September 2026, up from a few thousand in July.
- The content is practical guides: government services, driving licence, banking and wallets, SSF, AI and online safety.
- We do not place display ads on the site, and do not plan to.
The Google Search Console numbers
Google Search Console’s three-month report (early July to early October 2026) shows this for the whole site:
| Google Search metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Total impressions | 5.77 million |
| Total clicks | 165,000 |
| Average CTR | 2.9% |
| Average position | 6.1 |

An average position of 6.1 is a good sign, but read it carefully. It is the average across every query we appear for. It does not mean each keyword sits at position 6. Some pages rank first; many rank far lower.
The shape of the chart matters as much as the totals. In early July the site was getting almost nothing from search. Clicks climbed through late July, jumped in mid-August, peaked above 7,000 clicks on a single day in late August, and have since settled at a steadier daily level. That is what a young content library looks like: spikes when a topic is in the news, then a baseline that holds.
What Similarweb estimates
Alongside Search Console, we looked at Similarweb’s public traffic estimate for the site.
| Month (2026) | Estimated monthly visits |
|---|---|
| July | a few thousand |
| August | about 28,000 |
| September | about 35,000 |

One thing needs saying clearly: Similarweb’s figures are estimates, modelled from outside the site. Search Console reports what Google actually recorded for clicks and impressions from Search. The two tools count different things in different ways, so their numbers will never match and should not be added together.
Even with that caution, the direction is the same in both: more than a tenfold rise in two months.
What we publish
Our priority is the digital information people need in ordinary life. In practice that means guides on:
- Government digital services — Nagarik App, National ID (राष्ट्रिय परिचयपत्र), passport and related portals
- Driving licence, transport and vehicles — for example our driving license guides and the new online licence directive explained
- Banking, digital wallets and online payments, plus basic financial literacy
- Social Security Fund (SSF) and foreign-employment procedures
- Artificial intelligence, AI tools and digital skills
- Cybersecurity, online scams and staying safe
The aim is not to rewrite the day’s news. It is to present information so the reader can solve a real problem.
One person needs to know which documents to carry for a National ID. Another is stuck on a step in a banking app. A third wants to know whether an AI tool can take an hour off their working day. Answering those questions in plain language is the whole content strategy.
What we think is working
We cannot prove cause and effect from a dashboard, so treat this section as our own reading of the last three months, not a formula.
- We write for a search someone actually makes. Each guide starts from a question a person would type, not from a topic we want to talk about.
- We go to the primary source. For the licence directive we read all 17 pages of the government document before writing a line. Wherever possible we link the official notice, portal or price list.
- We correct ourselves in public. In October we re-checked every vehicle price page against the brands’ official Nepal websites, changed the figures that were out of date, and put a visible correction note on each page that changed. A wrong number published confidently does more damage than no number.
- We update instead of abandoning. A guide to a government process is only useful while it is current, so pages carry a date and get revised when the rule changes.
- We keep the page fast and uncluttered. More on that next.
Why the website has no advertising
Most websites try to turn traffic into advertising revenue: Google AdSense, banner ads, pop-ups. That is a legitimate business model, and I have no quarrel with those who use it.
I made a different decision for Digital Solution.
The website carries no display advertisements today, and I have no plan to add them.
The reason is the reader’s experience. Someone searches a question and opens a page hoping for an answer. If they have to scroll past repeated ad blocks and hunt for the real information between promotions, the page has failed them, however good the writing is.
I want a person who lands on our site to find what they came for as quickly and clearly as possible. In my view a good website should be judged by how easy it makes things for the user, not by how many ads it can show them.
No ads does not mean no business
Digital Solution is a business. We earn through professional digital services, AI training programmes and brand collaborations, and the website tells readers about those. You will see our own services, our Order Portal and our training announcements on the site.
What we will not do is make a reader sit through unrelated third-party display ads in order to read a guide.
We treat content as a long-term asset that builds trust, not as a way to earn today. Someone gets a free answer from us this week. Months later, when they need a document service, an AI workshop or a digital solution for their company, they may remember who helped. Trust built that way is worth more than a day’s ad revenue.
Why search matters more than reach
Facebook, YouTube and TikTok remain important for us. They are how most people first meet our work.
But reach on social platforms is controlled by an algorithm we do not own. A video that a great many people watched this month may reach almost no new viewers next month.
A well-made article that is kept up to date behaves differently. People can keep finding it through Google for years, at the moment they need it. That is why we are building a library on the website alongside the social content: the goal is not only today’s viral post, but information that is still useful and easy to find later.
What comes next
This traffic is a stage, not a finish line. Over the coming months we will work on four things:
- Quality of what is already published
- Fact-checking against primary sources
- Regular updates when rules, fees or prices change
- Reader experience on mobile, where most of our visitors are
More traffic alone is not the goal. What the reader takes away has to be correct, clear and current. That matters more than any chart.

Conclusion
To everyone who watches our videos, reads our articles and passes a useful guide on to someone else: thank you. An SEO case study from Nepal with 165,000 Google clicks in three months is encouraging, and so is an estimated 35,000 visits in September.
What matters most to me is not the figure but the people behind it, each of whom arrived looking for an answer to something. Our goal is not simply to grow traffic. It is to widen access to useful, reliable and easy-to-follow digital information in Nepal.
At Digital Solution we believe one thing: content should create impact, not just views.
