Good news: the eDLVRS portal now carries the renewal application, payment and scheduling — the office visit shrinks to biometrics/collection where required. Before You Start: 3-Minute Readiness Check
- Your license (or its number) and the citizenship it was issued against.
- eDLVRS account — the same login system as new applications; recover access now, not on deadline day (login/OTP fixes here).
- Health self-declaration/doctor step where asked — the online health check portal guide explains it.
- Wallet/bank ready for the renewal revenue — payment steps mirror our fee payment guide.
The Online Renewal Walkthrough
- Log in at applydl.dotm.gov.np.
- Choose the renewal service (license renewal / नवीकरण) from the service menu.
- Enter your license number and details — the system pulls your record. Check every field; if your printed license has an error, sort that at the office rather than renewing wrong data forward.
- Confirm personal details & contact — your current mobile matters for status SMS.
- Health/doctor step — complete the declaration/verification the flow demands.
- Pay the renewal revenue online (plus any late fine the system calculates — the fine logic is in the rules guide). Save the transaction ID.
- Office step where applicable — depending on your case (category, biometrics age, record state), the system directs you to an office visit or tells you to await the printed card. Follow what your confirmation screen says, not what a friend’s screen said last year.

Renewing From a Different Province
Working in Kathmandu with a license issued in another province? Renewal through eDLVRS is designed to be location-flexible — select the office you can actually attend if a visit is required. Carry originals; the record follows the license number, not the old office. If the portal restricts your case to the issuing office, that instruction wins.
