- Punishment: Up to 3 years in jail, a fine of 5 lakh rupees, or both.

- Description: Illegally accessing someone’s social media accounts, emails, or private data without consent.
- Punishment: Up to 3 years in jail or a fine of 15 lakh rupees.
6. Phishing or Imposter Scams
- Description: Tricking people into sharing sensitive information (e.g., passwords, bank details) through fake websites, emails, or profiles.
- Punishment: Up to 3 years in jail or a fine of 15 lakh rupees.
7. Sextortion or Blackmail
- Description: Threatening to leak someone’s private photos/videos or personal secrets to extort money, favors, or compliance.
- Punishment: Up to 3 years in jail or a fine of 15 lakh rupees.
8. Sharing Obscene or Disturbing Content
- Description: Posting or circulating explicit, violent, or morally offensive photos, audio, or videos.
- Punishment: Up to 3 months in jail, a fine of 50,000 rupees, or both.
9. Spreading Obscene, False, or Misleading Content
- Description: Distributing pornographic material, fake news, or manipulated information to deceive or harm others.
- Punishment: Up to 2 years in jail, a fine of 3 lakh rupees, or both.
10. Uploading or Sharing Deepfake Videos
- Description: Creating or spreading AI-altered videos/images to impersonate someone or spread false narratives.

11. Using Fake or Anonymous Identities
- Description: Creating fake profiles or hiding one’s real identity to deceive others or commit fraud.
- Punishment: Up to 3 months in jail, a fine of 50,000 rupees, or both.

- Description: Forming anonymous or disguised groups (e.g., on social media) to spread hate speech, illegal content, or organize criminal activities.
- Punishment: Up to 5 years in jail, a fine of 15 lakh rupees, or both.
